Most of the processing is done automatically as it is done using a computer. Output or "processed" data can come in a variety of formats. Which format you get depends on the software you use or how you process the data. If this happens by itself, we are talking about automatic data processing. Processing starts when data is collected and transformed into usable information. Usually performed by a data scientist or team of data scientists, it is important that data processing is done correctly so as not to adversely affect the final product or data output. In other words, data is essentially the bare facts and statistics collected during the operation of a business. They can be used to measure and record a wide range of business activities – both internal and external. Although the data itself may not be very informative, it is the basis of all reporting and as such is crucial in business. Data is an important term that we use in every aspect of our lives.
